Tips for Success

Now that you are in 8th grade it is important for students to work towards academic independence!  Here are some tips from the teachers of what you need to do every day to be successful.

-          Be prepared for class - bring everything you need to every class:

o    Pen/Pencil

o    Subject Binder

o    Text Book

o    Completed homework

o    Planners

o    SSR Book

o    Calculators (math)

-          Use student planner everyday for every subject - even if there is no homework, write "NO HW"!

-          Keep up with assignments, especially if you are absent

-          Manage your time wisely - always make sure there will be time after school to complete all homework assignments

-          If you are unsure about ANYTHING - Just ASK!  We are all more than willing to help you out.
