Tips for Success

In 8th grade it is important for students to work towards academic independence!  Here are some tips from the teachers of what you need to do every day to be successful.

-          Be prepared for class - bring everything you need to every class:

o    Pen/Pencil/Highlighters/Colored pencils

o    Subject Binder

o    Text Book

o    Completed Assingments

o    Planners

o    SSR Book

o    Calculators (math)

-          Use student planner everyday for every subject - even if there is no assignments to be completed at home. (write NO ASSIGNMENT)

-          Keep up with all assignments, especially if you are absent (check Powerschool) and don't forget to take a look at the Assignment Board in the team area daily.

-          Manage your time wisely - always make sure there will be time after school to complete your assignments.

-          If you are unsure about ANYTHING - Just ASK!  We are all more than willing to help you out.
