    snow day

Here are some activities to keep you from falling behind on those possible snow days.

    Math -

    1. Visit my classroom website and practice your math facts on https://xtramath.org/#/home/index

or practice your math skills on https://www.prodigygame.com/ or http://www.gamequarium.org/dir/Gamequarium/Math/ .

    2. You can print free math worksheets on https://www.education.com/worksheets/math/ . Turn in your

completed handout to me when you return to school.

    3. Spend some time on the other math links found on my website. Log the name of the site, time

practicing, and have a parent or guardian initial in your assignment book that you practiced.

    Reading -

    1. Read for a minimum of 20 minutes each day. Since you are missing a whole day of school, I suggest you read an additional 20 minutes. Don't forget to record your thinking on sticky notes (connections, questions, inferences made).

    Word Work -

    1. Keep up with your word study work for the week.

Monday - Finish sort and reflection

Tuesday - Complete sort # handout

    Wednesday - Sentences

    Thursday - Choice activity

Friday - Staple all activities together along with a cover sheet

    2. Spelling City is a great site to go to in order to practice your words.

    Science -

    1. Try watching some of the short videos on BrainPop https://www.brainpop.com/ (username is sau26mues and password is merrimack).

    2. Spend some time on Big Universe https://www.biguniverse.com/signin (you will need your username and password).

    Writing -

    1. Do some free writing and share it with me on Office 365. We can work on it together.

    2. You can send me any questions or ask for help by sending me an email at coleen.landry@sau26.org .
