Hello!

I am Kimberly Yarlott, your Principal.  I have been at Reeds Ferry School, first an Assistant Principal, and then Principal, since 2005.  This is my 16^th year here!  Before I came to Reeds Ferry School, I was a teacher for 18 years in Concord NH.  I taught Pre-K – 3^rd grade, and, loved every minute of it.  My passion is teaching, whether it be for young students, teenagers, or adults.  Being a principal is a bit like being a teacher – I teach teachers and principals about instruction, curriculum and assessment, as well as how to best meet the needs of every child’s unique growth and development.

The Reeds Ferry School staff is like a big family.  We all help one another to be our best, and enjoy doing things together.  We have awesome teachers and staff!  Did you know that in 2017 the school nominated me for NH Principal of the Year?  I received the award down in Washington D.C and got to meet the other State Principals of the Year from across the country.  Then, I traveled to Finland to see how they run their schools and went to the World Education Summit in Italy.  Traveling is one of my passions – especially to cultures and communities that are different than mine.

My other passions are tennis, gardening, skiing, and reading.  I have two grown boys, Ryan and Patrick, and one grandson, Toren.  Spending time with them is so special.  I also enjoy spending time with my sisters.  This picture is at my sister’s house.  She just got a new puppy.  I love animals, can you tell?
